Who we are
This website is run by Stevenage Futsal Club, a grassroots futsal club in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. For anything to do with your data, contact us at info@stevenagefutsal.com or on 07702 805109 and ask for James (Director) or Emma (Club Welfare Officer).
What we collect on this website
If you fill in a form: your name, email address, and your message (for schools, also your role and school name). Form submissions pass through our website host, Cloudflare, and our email service, Resend, which emails them to us. We use them solely to reply to you, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
If you create a club membership account: we hold your name and email address, the first name and age group of each of your children at the club, which package each of them is on, and a record of membership payments. If you buy a package that includes personalised kit, we also hold the size and initials you give at checkout, so we can order the right thing.
That is the lot. We don't ask for your address, your date of birth, or anything about your children beyond a first name and an age group.
Membership accounts
Accounts belong to parents and carers, not to children. One account covers all of your children at the club.
Signing in is handled by Supabase, a specialist provider, and your membership details are stored in its database on servers in London. The club never sees or stores your password. If you sign in with Google, Google confirms who you are and tells us only your name and email address. You can add two-factor authentication to your account at any time from your account page.
Members can see their own details and nobody else's. That is enforced by the database itself, not just by what the website chooses to show you.
Training videos
The home training videos are stored privately and can only be played by members who are signed in and paid up. They are not listed anywhere public and cannot be found through a search engine.
Bookings and payments
Session bookings don't happen on this website. They're handled by our booking provider, Bookaby, under its own privacy policy.
Membership payments are taken by Stripe on Stripe's own secure payment pages. Card details never touch this website, and we never see or store them. Stripe tells us that a payment succeeded, for which package, and for which player, so we can switch the membership on. We keep a record of those payments for our accounts.
Live chat
The chat bubble on this site is provided by tawk.to, under its own privacy policy. If you use the chat, your messages (and any details you type into them) are processed by tawk.to so we can reply, and it sets cookies to keep your conversation connected. If you'd rather not use it, our contact form, email and phone all work just as well.
Cookies and tracking
We run no advertising or analytics trackers ourselves. Two embedded services can set their own cookies: the live chat above (if you use it), and our TikTok video feed, which loads from TikTok when you scroll to that part of the homepage, under TikTok's own privacy policy.
If you sign in to a membership account, your browser stores a sign-in token so you stay signed in between visits. That is what keeps you logged in, nothing more, and signing out clears it.
A few things load from other services to make pages work: our fonts come from Google Fonts, the map on the contact page comes from OpenStreetMap, and the chat comes from tawk.to. Like any web request, those services can see your device's IP address when the page loads.
How long we keep it
Enquiries sent through our forms are kept in our email while we deal with them and for a reasonable time afterwards.
Membership details are kept for as long as you have an account with us. Delete your account and your details, your children's details and your player records go with it. Records of payments are kept for six years, because we have to keep basic accounting records, but they hold no card details.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: just email info@stevenagefutsal.com.
If you have a membership account you don't have to ask. You can edit your own and your children's details, and delete your whole account, from your account page whenever you like.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Safeguarding & children
Membership accounts are held by parents and carers, and are not for children to sign up to themselves. The only information we hold about a child is a first name, an age group, and, if you have bought personalised kit, a size and initials. We ask for that so coaches know who is in which group and so the right kit is ordered.
We never publish it, never share it for marketing, and it is only visible to you and to club staff who need it. Details about our safeguarding policies, welfare officer and codes of conduct are on our About page.
